NEWS AND EVENTS

Next Sunday will be the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B.

Summer Fayre This will take place on Saturday 9th June in Bourton-on-the-Water. Local events over the Diamond Jubilee weekend meant that we could not have our usual day. This is the Saturday in the half-term holiday week, so Bourton should be busy with visitors.
Mark this date in your diary: I will soon ask for volunteers to take on the stalls.

Retreats at Brownshill The Bernardine Sisters at the Monastery of Our Lady & St Bernard, Brownshill, nr Stroud, will lead these retreats:
Lenten Retreat weekends: Friday 24th – Sunday 26th February, or Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th March
The Easter Triduum: Wednesday 4th – Sunday 8th April.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes This will be from Friday 24th to Friday 31st August. For more information contact Deacon David Wakefield, details on the poster.

Newman Association There will be a talk on Tuesday 7th February at 2.30 p.m., in the lounge of Sacred Hearts Hall, Moorend Road, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, GL53 9AU. Mr John Huntriss will speak on Mark, this year’s Gospel.

A new Rector for the Anglicans at Stow The Rev. Martin Short will be inducted as Rector at St Edward’s on Sunday 19th February at 4.00 p.m. Our parishioners are invited to attend.
